When is the best time for fishing in Uganda?

Fishing is possible throughout the year. Many visiting anglers prefer the drier periods from January to March and June to September, but conditions vary by destination.

What fish can I catch?

Depending on the destination, target species can include Nile perch, tigerfish, tilapia and catfish.

Is fishing equipment provided?

Fishing equipment, boats, safety gear and an experienced local crew can be arranged for your trip.

Can beginners join?
